REACH Teacher - Student Support Services
Overview:
Support teaching position, in which the teacher will be responsible to support students with disabilities in both pull-out and push-in models. Subjects include: Math, Reading, Language Arts, Spelling, Social Studies, Science and Bible. Lesson planning will occur in collaboration with the lead teacher for each grade level.
Qualifications:
Interested candidates should
Possess a thriving relationship with Jesus and desire to share that relationship with their students
Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in early childhood, elementary education, middle grades education (state certification preferred)
Align with ACS statement of faith, mission and values
Have a passion to help students learn and grow
possess 3-5 years of experience in the classroom
Responsibilities:
Model Christlike attitudes and behaviors for students and families including faith, love, repentance and high personal standards of spiritual growth
Create meaningful relationships with students and families, with the goal of child development at the forefront
Manage a caseload of elementary aged students with learning disabilities
Develop and implement Individualized Learning Plans
Provide appropriate testing accommodations as outlined in the ILP
Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement instructional accommodations
Lead small groups
Document progress monitoring
Communicate with parents/guardians to encourage student success
Incorporate a variety of instructional methods to strive to engage all students and meet the academic, spiritual and emotional needs of students
Create and maintain a classroom culture and environment conducive to creative learning
